Professor Oktor Skjaervo is the Aga Khan Professor of Iranian Studies at the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilization of Harvard University. He is one of the foremost specialists in Old Iranian and Middle Iranian languages, literature, and religions (Zoroastrianism, Manichaeism), in addition to  Iranian dialects.
