Kaveh Farrokh’s book, “Shadows in the Desert: Ancient Persia at War” has been cited twice in the Kayhan Newspaper of London in relation to its nomination as the Best History Book of 2008, as also reported in the BBC and the widely read Iranian.com website. Farrokh’s was also nominated as being among the top three history books of 2008 for the Bejamin Franklin Award by the Independent Book Publishers Association in the US.

The first citation in Kayhan newspaper occurred in the November 6-12 2008 issue of the London Kayhan Newspaper.
