Below is an image of a n 18th century Persian Astrolabe housed in Cambridge museum’s of the History of Sciences. The Persian Setareyab (lit. Star seeker) or astrolobes locate and predict the positions of astral bodies (i.e. stars sun, moon, panets) to determine local time with respect to local latitude and vice-versa.
