Then there is the question of opportunistic individuals residing within Iran’s present governmental apparatus. The case of the far religious right as well as leftists within Iran has already been discussed.

There are suggestions that rogue elements within the Sepah e Pasdaran (Revolutionary Guards) within the Iranian military are actively engaged in Persephobia. These Pasdaran are also distinct from the extreme religious right (the Pan Islamists).

The Persophobic policies of these particular Pasdaran are not necessarily pan-Islamic but more in tune with the former USSR’s de-Persianizing policies. Like the former USSR, these Pasdaran may fear the revival of Iran’s history and culture as this would undermine their political, economic and military authority.

It is important to that the Pasdaran (Revolutionary Guard) as a whole is very powerful in Iran and cannot be crudely considered to be just a “tool” of the religious right. The Pasdaran wield powerful influence within the government, mayorships,  and even soccer clubs. Simply put, these Pasdaran have power in Iranian cities as mayors and directly order civic leaders to eliminate Iranian history at the city-level.

Mashad city walls recently painted over by city officials. Before these walls were “re-painted”, they bore the poetry passages of ancient Iranian myths and history. These actions appear to have had the blessings of elements within the Pasdaran or revolutionary guards. City officials tied to elements of the Pasdaran also destroyed the statue of pre-Islamic Iran’s Arash e Kamangir (lit. Arash who wields the bow) in Sari, northern Iran on June 13, 2011 (see report in Persian in the Balatarin news sharing community website).

Arash who wields the bow) aboard his 4-horse chariot at Sari (top row) and how it appears after its destruction by Sari’s City officials who are tied to elements in the Pasdaran revolutionary guards. The alleged “crime” of the Arash statue and his chariot was that it ”insulted Islam”.   Above photos from the Khorafa Blogspot. See also vidoe below:

Kavehfarrokh.com has also received numerous messages since the site was founded in late 2008. While more concrete evidence is needed on a number of other issues, it is very true that ex-Marxists associated with the Soviet controlled separatist movements have made deep inroads inside the Iranian establishment – the case of Nasser Pourpirar who openly dismisses Iranian history as a “myth” is a case in point.

There is also suspicion by a number of Iranians inside Iran that some Iranian officials are somehow overtly implicated – mainly due to their efforts ot penetrate inside the separatist movements. Below are two e-mails sent to Kavehfarrokh.com on December 1 and 2 2010 by a sender named “Iranzamin”

Dear Mr. Kaveh,

I would like to point out that many anti-Persian-facebook pages are run by Iranian Intelligence agencies in order to get close to other groups like Kurdish and Baluch separatists–e.g. Mr. Rigi who was caught this year. Among all separatist movements in Iran, Azaris and Arab-Ahwazis are run-managed by Iranian Intelligent agency however they get financed by Azerbaijan-Republic, Turkey and all Arab states. so in a funny way Iranian government is running this operation “free of charge”. Many of these separatist leaders were revolutionary guards before. The other goal Iranian government would like to achieve creating a gulf between supporters of Green Movement among both Azerbaijanis and Arab-Iranian people who are great pro-reform supporters in the country.   Unfortunately they are successful, as you have witnessed in the last year after-election-protest, city of Tabriz was surprisingly quiet.  The recent anti-Persian-sentiment by pan-Turkish are organized smoothly in Tractor FC–owned and managed by Revolutionary Guards– games.  Mr. Nasser Pourpirar has openly questioned Iranian Identity, but his website is not filtered in Iran and even he publishes/sales his books in Tehran  (Daneshga Tehran).

At the end, I thank you for your work and I try my best to help you for our cause–Telling the truth about Iran’s History.

Basically most of these people (anti-Iranian identity) have common backgroundall of them have tendency to  ultra-Islamic mixed with Marxism. People like Pourpirar Dr. Chamran and Zehtabi after successful dissolving of Iranian-Azerbaijan-Rep in 1946, and years later left Iran to Iraq, Libya, Syria and Egypt (1958-1970), there under Baathist regimes, they learned Arabic and Pan-Arabic ideology. After 1979 revolution because they were just cable of “translating Qhoran” only they easily infiltrated into new-Iranian-government and basically they shaped/influence heavily Iranian Foreign  policy– as ultimate anti American, anti-Israeli & anti western in the region.  There are many of them in Iranian regime, some of them are vocal like Pourpirar, Zehtabi (Died 15 years ago) and Chehregani; and some of them you don’t see or hear from them. It fascinates me years that I had wanted to understand Iranian government and its foreign policy without any luck, until I followed these men (as mentioned above)’s biography and realized what this regime is about.

Through 31 years since establishment of “Islamic Republic of Iran” we see transformation of Ultra Conservative Clerics like Khatami, Rafsanjani, Karoubi to pro-Democracy advocates; we have to expect transformation of Ultra-Islamic-Marxism-ex-Separatist to Full100%-Separatist just like Pourpirar and Chehregani.   People (regime) at the top currently are in Vulnerable situation due to recent the US pressure, and they seek anybody’s (including this group) help to survive through this turbulence time to live/rule another day. That is why we hear now their voices get louder and louder.

Before revolution, Tabriz was the center of Iranian-Patriotic-movement (just like Kasravi), some of our most senior army officers were from the same city. However after revolution most of these men and women were either executed or driven-away out of the country. They replaced by ex-Separatists/Pishervarisms camouflaged by Islamic Veil.

I am assuming and hopefully I am wrong, that Regime at the top-level is seeking balkanization of Iran in order to escape from getting caught. Because unlike Mohammad Reza Pahlavi who fled the country, these men have no place to run. So just like Soviet Regime broke to different countries and we still never know the perpetrators. By balkanization of Iran the whole region would fall apart, and these men could escape just like a needle in haystack and Iranian people never can get justice for their crimes.

Dosteh Azizam Kaveh, sure you could post my comments in your website, the reason I am sending you all this,,, is to show my solidarity to your awesome work and research regarding Iranian history.

Good Luck….

The sender Iranzamin is completely correct that elements within the Iranian establishment promotes Persophones (such as Mr. Pourpirar) by allowing anti-Iran books to be published and even promoted on  TV programs that openly attack the legacy of ancient Iran and even questions Iran’s ancient legacy.

Further evidence is now surfacing on the co-operation between certain elements within the current Iranian establishment, Pan Arabists (sponsored by Saudi Arabia), PanTurkists (sposnored by the Republic of Azarbaijan):
